Having just returned from another inspiring experience leading pre-service and in-service teachers in Reggio Emilia, Italy, Cheryl and Alex have created a special day in a magical place. Join our Purposeful Gatherings community in the big white barn, walk through the woods, and listen to the flowing riverfront waters at Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing, MI on April 6, 2024.
You will engage in creative experiences, explore our Light for Hope Atelier, enjoy a mindful walk and pause in the woods, and taste food that has the power to nourish your body and mind. Every participant will receive the newly released children’s book Whatever Comes Tomorrow. This book, bursting with color and movement, will provide inspiration for the day’s activities and conversations around resilience and hope. You won’t want to miss this!

Woldumar Nature Center
Our inspiring day of creativity begins with registration and doors open for networking at 9:30am with a 10:00am start time. We will celebrate our success at 3:00pm with individual installations remaining available for interaction and for networking until 4pm. Included in your experience is an all day snack and beverage self-service, made with love light lunch, all materials needed during the day, personal engagement with the speakers and other participants, and documentation of 5 early childhood training hours – plus some fun surprise goodies!
Woldumar Nature Center is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. Details will be shared with all registrants prior to the event.
Purposeful Gatherings – Early Childhood Hopes for Tomorrow Registration $150 $125
A day-long retreat experience to cultivate meaningful connections, expand your network, and foster collaborations with fellow early childhood professionals and experts that will build and grow well beyond your 1st gathering.
I very much needed a break and a relaxing time away from home. I was able to immerse myself in conversation, the environment, and the experiences without feeling that nagging feeling that I had to get other things done or accomplished. I felt completely there and in-tune to what was happening.

Purposeful Gatherings EC hosts a minimum of 3 in-person gatherings each year, located in intimate and creative venues around Michigan. Gatherings beyond Michigan, including virtual opportunities, will launch in the near future. Participation in a Purposeful Gatherings in-person event includes:
