From the unsalted shores of Lake Michigan and Petoskey stone hunting to world famous fudge and an island teaming with bicycles and horse drawn carriages (and of course, no cars), northern Michigan in August (and every other month of the year) is considered an ultimate “happy place” destination! Join us in Petoskey on Saturday, August 2, for a welcome dinner with our special study group guests Roberta Pucci and Suzanne Axelsson. Enjoy a creative experience Sunday morning before exploring Petoskey’s historic shopping and waterfront district. Sunday early evening includes the opening of our Purposeful Gatherings Early Childhood – Together We Hope event with a cocktail reception and tour of the Reggio inspired center at North Central Michigan College. On Monday and Tuesday, experience the “Gathering” as a collaborative learning community, participating in unique and purposefully crafted presentations and atelier experiences together as a small group (included in the Study Group price). Then continue to grow your learning and connections with atelier workshops, reflective conversations, and inspirational program visits throughout the week. Enjoy the unique beauty of Michigan in Petoskey, Cross Village, and on Mackinac Island before moving south towards Detroit in the second part of the week!

Evolving Itinerary
- Saturday – Welcome Dinner
- Sunday – Creative Experience in Cross Village, Open Exploration of Petoskey, Purposeful Gatherings Welcome Reception and Center Tour
- Monday – Purposeful Gatherings Early Childhood – Together We Hope
- Tuesday – Purposeful Gatherings Early Childhood – Together We Hope
- Wednesday – Experience Mackinac Island and an Everywhere Atelier
Central Michigan and the greater Metro-Detroit area
Thursday will see the group heading to the center of the mitten to visit two early childhood programs immersed in place based learning and inspired by nature, including reflective conversations with passionate educators. Friday will include another creative workshop followed by a tour, mini-event and reception at the Reggio inspired and nature based Building Blocks Preschool in Highland. Wrapping up this week of shared experiences will be a Saturday adventure to several historic projects and places in Detroit followed by a celebratory dinner.

- Thursday – Program visits in Mt. Pleasant and Midland, Michigan
- Friday – Tour, mini-event and reception at Building Blocks Preschool in Highland
- Saturday – Adventure to Detroit projects and places of significance, Celebratory Dinner

$300 Registration Fee + $775 Program Fee

$300 Registration + $500 Program Fee.
**Lodging and transportation coordination within Michigan can be added for an additional $2,000.

Non-refundable registration fee of $300 required to secure your spot, which allows us to make group experience reservations, and to offer you the pre-trip virtual experiences.
Program fee can be divided equally and is due on the 1st of each month (beginning June 2025 and leading up to August 2025).
Experience includes daily interactions and conversations with our guests, Roberta Pucci and Suzanne Axelsson, 25+ hours of professional development with certificate, video workshop from Roberta Pucci Labs, 6 months virtual membership in our leadership group, flourishing skills and character strength coaching inside the membership site, full participation in our multi-day Purposeful Gathering’s event in Petoskey, “in Michigan” group workshops, program tours, school visits, cultural experiences, and specific group meals.
