Football Night

It’s football night.

At least that’s what I learned when I started looking for something to make for dinner. Clearly there are football night dinners and “other” dinners. So I put away the shrimp and grabbed the canned chicken, cream & shredded cheeses, ranch dressing, and Tapatio sauce.

And ya know what? I don’t mind this change at all. First, whipping up buffalo chicken dip is WAY faster than shrimp quesadillas (and those are pretty quick too). Food groups you ask? Well there are CORN tortilla chips to go with the CHICKEN, CHEESE, and that Tapatio came from PEPPERS, right? I’m hearing all kinds of food groups there!

But why am I really talking about football night when I don’t watch football? (I do however listen now that we live as close to Green Bay as we do to Detroit AND the Packers coach is a guy born and raised in my hometown) Because of the other reason I don’t mind.

One of the things that makes me feel cozy is when I make the opportunity to slowly read through my favorite magazines (new issues of Real Simple and Magnolia Journal are waiting). As I read, if I see a word, phrase, or picture that jives with my vibes, I rip it out and save it for my vision/dream board or book. I don’t always know what my next layout will look like, but I like to have a collection ready, a collection that built over time and over many moods. I do like time to think before I create. Sometimes it’s the collection itself that helps define the categories sometimes those categories come from things I am reading or from friends and colleagues who I am spending time with.

Health – Finances – Entertainment – Family – Faith – Personal Development – Positive Impact – Career – Relationships – Happiness

Tonight, as you imagine me curled up on the couch with my magazines, I wonder…

What does your vision/dream board/book/list look like?

How do you use it?

What categories do you include?

You pick and choose what you want to share! I can’t wait to learn from your ideas!
